To claim your lost pet call 387-8590 to schedule an appointment to pick up your pet. You may also email the Animal Impound at lostpets@city.mankato.mn.us if you have any information on the owner of the animals listed on this page.

Tips for pet safety and city pet licenses

Animal Impound, 903 Mound Avenue (Sibley Park), Mankato, MN

Hours:
Monday - 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Tuesday through Thursday - 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
**The Animal Impound is closed from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Daily**

Owners are responsible for all Impound charges at time of release.

All dogs residing inside Mankato city limits are required to have proof of Rabies vaccination and have a city dog license. Dogs that are current with vaccinations (proof must be provided) but do not have a license will be issued one at release. Arrangements can be made at release if proof of vaccinations cannot be provided. Call Mankato’s Animal Impound at (507) 387-8590 for more details.
