Public Safety Police
The Mankato Department of Public Safety police staff includes Patrol, Detective, School Liasion, Community Policing, Narcotics/Gangs and the Volunteer Officers. Patrol consists of three shifts supervised by two commanders. The part-time unit includes up to 40 fully trained volunteer officers who assist Police Officers in many areas, including special community events.
