Boards and Committees

Citizen committees, including ad hoc committees, make recommendations to the City Manager and Mankato City Council.

Citizen committees: Positions are filled when vacancies occur. Citizens may fill out an application online or by contacting the City Clerk’s office at 507-387-8626. The Appointment Committee reviews the applications and makes their recommendation(s) to the Mankato City Council. The Mankato City Council approves committee appointments. Applications are held on file for two years.

Ad-hoc: Interested citizens may submit their name to be included in a list of recommendations to an ad hoc committee. In addition, city staff or City Council members may recommend individuals to serve. The Mankato City Council approves the final appointment.
