Wonderful work done by all involved in the displays, set-up and take downs, etc. Really made for a festive holiday season and looking forward to seeing more with each new year. Kudo's to Scott Wojcik and his team for their hard work and commitment to a very successful event.
Truly wonderful, Wish an ice skating rink was in place at the park. Cest le vie -- Mankato weather. A big tent for swing, folk or a non-alcoholic dance bands would be nice on sliding side of the hill.
Our Son & Daughter in Law (BR & Beth Ann O'Halloran), invited us to see the Holiday Lights in Sibley Park last nite. OH MY GOSH I have never seen such a BEAUTIFUL display. We love the lights put to music too. I also want to comment on the wonderful staff that was taking care of it all. They were great and what a wonderful free christmas gift this was for all of us. I am sure it took a lot of work and that at times they were cold. But you never would have known it by their pleasent manner. Thanks again for the joy of the Christmas Season. Pat and Lucy Halloran
The holiday lights are beautiful and a wonderful addition to the city!
What a gift to the Mankato community! The massive time and energy showed. It was a joy to contribute to the many charities and churches that participated. Thanks, Kiwanis!
Beautiful display. So glad to see the park used this way. Would be so nice if lamp post decor (lights) could be added as people drive along the river before entering the light display. Also, so sad to not see any lights displayed on Mankato's Riverfront drive. North Mankato does such a wonderful job of dressing up their main thoroughfares for the holidays.
The very best Christmas display I have seen. Our grandkids couldn't believe how good it was. Thank you all for your work!
The lights in Sibley park are awesome! As a regular walker I enjoy them every night they're on. They bring me tremendous joy and I thank everyone that worked so hard to make this happen. Further, I live on Mound Ave. and the city has done a great job keeping the traffic on Sibley Parkway with use of signs, volunteers and road blocks. Well done!!
The lights were a beautiful display! The volunteers did a great job and were friendly when we drove through on Weds. night. However the parade was a disappointment. Walking from the far softball field to the parade route carrying a toddler was a haul in the cold. Perhaps turning on the lights for the parade so we can see the floats would be a good idea for next year. Also throwing candy to kids in the dark doesn't work and is dangerous. Thanks for the gorgeous display!
We visited Sibley Park one evening this week and were in awe of the GREAT job with the lights. However, it is almost impossible to see where one is driving without headlights because the street is so black. Some reflective strips on the roadway might pick up enough light from parking lights and the display lights to make it easier driving. Presently, the driver can not safely enjoy the lights. Regards, Ron
They did an amazing job for the first year. I'd love to see all of downtown be added and a much more festive Christmas atmosphere for Mankato. Right now downtown North Mankato is the best show after Sibley.
Hats off to the Kiwanis for the Million dollar idea and to all of the Donors for the Million Lights. You chose the perfect location - well done!
Looked great! Glad to see some festive investment within the city.
