Reforestation. Urban forestry plays a major role in developing the character of an area and benefits the urban environment aesthetically, environmentally and economically. Businesses, organizations and individuals fund, plant and work with city staff to identify areas to plant trees as a community service project. It could be any amount…up to 500 trees or more. A recognition sign may be included in the effort.
This opportunity capitalizes on the many important benefits of trees since they cool, fight pollution and global warming, conserve energy, help clean our rivers and streams, benefit wildlife, make neighborhoods more livable, mark the changing seasons, increase property values and add the soft touch of nature to busy lives.
