To enhance the quality of city and county government by providing cost-effective administrative, human resources and planning technical assistance to member jurisdictions.

What is MVCOG?
The Minnesota Valley Council of Governments (MVCOG) is a voluntary cooperative association of 12 cities and two counties working together to enhance their abilities to provide quality service to their communities. The focus of MVCOG adapts to the changing needs of members jurisdictions.
What does MVCOG do?
MVCOG staff responds to specific requests for technical assistance from member jurisdictions and works on projects benefiting all members. Program flexibility allows MVCOG to assist members with projects including planning, human resources and administrative assistance. Non-member cities within member counties are entitled to 16 hours of MVCOG assistance on an annual basis.
