Highway 169 (north of the intersection of Highway 169 and Highway 14)

Kiwanis Recreation Area features trails, two dog park areas, a canoe/kayak area, an archery range, restrooms and a picnic shelter open for use throughout the year. Although a 24-hour park and ride lot is available on the north side of the Kiwanis Recreation Area entry with security cameras, the city is not liable for damages. Park hours are 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily.

100 acres of park space for people to enjoy

  • winter viewing of bald eagles that frequent the area
  • variety of activities, including hiking, fishing and cross-country skiing

  • respond to commands;
  • be social with adults, children and other dogs;
  • be healthy when brought to the park.
