City Manager

The City Manager serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of the City and is responsible to the Council for the administration of all City affairs placed in the Manager's charge under City Charter. The City Manager appoints all Department Directors, evaluates the performance of employees, sets general personnel policies, and approves staff appointments. The Manager supervises the preparation of the annual budget, advises the Mayor and Council as to administrative and financial needs, and maintains contact with Federal, State and local agencies.

The city of Mankato is responsible for delivering essential public services to our customers—Mankato’s residents, business owners and visitors.
